Mark Schettenhelm This is jazz, the common thread is love. A mood, an atmosphere, present in "My Middle Name is Moderation and "Mr. Fix It" varies in tempo from the thoughtful "There Was a Time" but the same feeling, depth and musicianship is there. Throughout it all Jennifer sings with a style and energy to guide you though this well selected album. It's an album you will enjoy at first hearing, but further listening will reveal even more - this is jazz. Favorite track: My Middle Name is Moderation.

There Was a Time There was a time when I thought of you, a couple times a month There was a time when I thought of you, a couple time a week There was a time when I thought of you, a couple times a day But now’s the time when I think of you every moment, every way

My middle name is moderation Although the party’s just begun A voice inside my head keeps saying - go on and pour another one My middle name is moderation Although the party’s just begun A voice inside my head keeps saying - go on and have another one I’m control and I’m poise and all through the noise I can see my long ride home But the glass is so tall and I hear the call of the bar tender singing the sweeetest songs to me - tinga linga ling ling ling

Mr Fix-It 03:53
They call me mr fix it You’re in distress I’m gonna mix it I’m gonna give you my love And when i’m gone, you’re gonna miss it Because they call me Mr fix it When i’ve screwed you, I’ll be gone Because they call me Mr flirdy I only live for challenge I’ve conquered the maze So it’s bye bye bye birdie They call me Mr fix it When I’ve screwed you, i’ll be gone Oh baby the challenge is gone and I’ve already moved on Oh baby the challenge is gone and I’ve already moved on Because they call me Mr fix it And when I’ve screwed you, I’ll be gone Because they call me Mr Fix it And when I’ve screwed you, i’ll be gone

You've changed That sparkle in your eyes is gone Your smile is just a careless YAWN ...You're breaking my heart You've changed You've changed Your kisses now are so blasé You're bored with me in every way I can't understand how quickly you've changed You've forgotten the words "I love you" Each memory, that we've shared You ignore every star above you I can't believe you really cared You've changed You're not the angel I once knew.. No need to tell me that we're through yes It's all over now You've changed You've changed You're not the angel I once knew No need to tell me that we're through yes It's all over now you’ve changed

You spun your web of gold With all the lies you told You spun a web around me I thought that I had found me It sparkled in the twilight It twinkled in the moon bright The cobwebs in my head Those shining golden threads Don’t change a hair for me Not if you care for me Stay little valentine stay Each day is valentines day That glistened web of gold I thought I'd found my throne Constructed in romance Constructed by the dance Now look where I am at Blown this way and then that The Broken web of gold That broken web of gold Don’t change a hair for me Not if you care for me Stay little valentine stay Each day is valentines day

Washing Line 04:58
You're gonna ring my heart out, see the blood that's dry You'll drink the wine and watch the pallor rise Your gonna mince me into steak and kidney pie Your gonna ring me out Your gonna hang my body on your washing line Your gonna ring my heart out, see the blood that flies My soul, incisions from your stabbing knives A thousand cuts from your goodbyes Your gonna ring me out Your gonna hang my body on your washing line

I’m never gonna get no closure He’s never gonna buy me roses He’s never gonna say- “Baby i’m sorry” You’re never gonna get no closure He’s never gonna buy you roses He’s never gonna say - “Baby i’m sorry” So can I get a witness ladies These kind of men just drive you crazy All you can do is have a gin Then you gotta pick up your chin and say, I’m never gonna get no closure He’s never never gonna buy me roses

When the Red, Red Robin Comes Bob-Bob Bobbin' Along, Along There'll be no more sobbin' when he starts throbbin' his old sweet song Wake up, wake up you sleepy head Get up, get out of your bed Cheer up, cheer up the sun is red Live, love, laugh and be happy What if I’ve been blue, now I'm walking through through fields of flowers Rain may glisten but still I listen for hours and hours I'm just a kid again doing what I did again, singing a song When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbin' along

Unspoken Rule, Unspoken Rule You smile at me and I smile at you But that is all were ever gonna do Unspoken Rule Unspoken Rule We sit and talk and play the fool And that is all were ever gonna do And when our hearts align And the stars they shine your eyes look into mine And thats when I'm blue All because of the unspoken rule, unspoken rule We sit and talk and play the fool and that is all were ever gonna do Oh with the unspoken, unpoken rule

Some songs are very personal and some are based on the love experiences of people close to me. They all resonate with me and are a part of who I am now.

A new band formed around our vision for this project – a collection of accomplished musicians who helped bring the songs to life. We were also fortunate to work with Niko Schauble at Pughouse Studios who captured our performances. Thanks so much to you all!

Finally, this project was an immense amount of fun. Thank you for becoming a part of it.
